Job Description

Role Overview: As a Manager, Analytics - Customer Insights at Synchrony, you will be a key member of the Decision Management team within the Synchrony India Analytics Hub. Your role will involve collaborating closely with both the India and US Analytics teams to tackle important business challenges using data-driven solutions. You will focus on analyzing customer behavior to enhance the overall customer contact experience, generate insights from data, and provide recommendations for effective decision-making. Key Responsibilities: - Engage in Agile sprints and actively participate in analytics projects from start to finish, employing basic to advanced analytics and data science techniques - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Operations data with other sources for root-cause analysis, focusing on improving customer experience and operational performance - Utilize analytical tools and techniques to derive insights from data, automate processes, and offer actionable recommendations to streamline decision-making processes - Manage and deliver projects within specified timelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance, while also mentoring and supporting new team members - Contribute to internal initiatives, take on additional duties or special projects as required Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or related quantitative field, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in analytics or data science. Alternatively, a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of the specified degree - Minimum 2 years of practical experience in SQL, SAS, Python, or other programming languages, with the ability to apply advanced algorithms for insights generation and process automation - Strong written and oral communication skills - Familiarity with the USA credit business market - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Proficiency in presenting findings to various levels of management - Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment - Proficiency in MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint for data analysis and storytelling Additional Company Details: Synchrony is a leading consumer financial services company with a strong emphasis on employee well-being, career advancement, and diversity.
