Maintenance Technician

Role Objective:

A key objective of this role is to ensure uninterrupted operation of electrical and utility systems by performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance. The role supports smooth functioning of plant utilities and production processes through timely troubleshooting, repair, and record maintenance.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
• 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setup.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, utility operations, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently during breakdown situations.
• Familiarity with maintenance documentation and utility logbook upkeep.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and utility systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults and breakdowns independently.
• Operate and maintain utility systems, including air compressors, DG sets, and electrical panels.
• Monitor and update log sheets for utility equipment such as air compressors, DG sets, and water treatment plants.
• Read and interpret electrical panel drawings and identify components accurately.
• Ensure operational efficiency of electrical motors, transformers, relays, SMPS, breakers, SSRs, and sensors.
• Comply with safety and regulatory standards during all maintenance activities.
• Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory and maintenance records.

Functional Skills Required:

• Proficiency in handling electrical tools and instruments.
• Knowledge of electrical circuits, power systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Understanding of panel wiring, relay operations, SMPS, and related components.
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematic drawings.
• Hands-on experience with utilities like DG sets and compressors.
