Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing maintenance strategies to enhance the uptime of plant equipment (non OPE performance) and improve reliability by incorporating the latest maintenance techniques. Your duties will include budgeting and controlling maintenance costs, analyzing repeated machine breakdowns, implementing benchmarking maintenance standards, and developing the maintenance skills of the maintenance and operations team. Key Responsibilities: - Implement maintenance strategies to improve the uptime of plant equipment (non OPE performance). - Systematically analyze repeated machine breakdowns with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and take Preventive Corrective Actions (PCA) to improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR). - Lead long and major breakdowns by coordinating with machine manufacturers and the plant maintenance team. - Plan and lead reliability-centered and predictive maintenance to enhance machine performance and lifespan. - Budget and control maintenance expenditure, ensuring 100% availability of critical spare parts to achieve Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) targets. - Liaise with machine manufacturers and internal stakeholders to support production continuity without compromising safety and quality. - Implement benchmarking and digitalization of maintenance management system through SAP. - Prepare monthly MIS reports, standard operating procedures, and action plans for improvement activities. - Ensure compliance with IATF documentation, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and best practices implementation. Qualification Required: - Basic Qualifications: B.E. / B.Tech./ Diploma. - Preferred Qualifications: 10-15 years of experience in powertrain industries maintenance with a Diploma/Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics). Minimum 4 years of experience leading maintenance in automotive powertrain industries. You should have knowledge in powertrain machines such as engine & gearbox assembly lines, heat treatment equipment, CNC machines, Siemens PLC, Scada systems, ABB/FANUC/KUKA robots, machine spindles, axis alignment, ball screws, LM guide, ATC, Geometrical standards, reliability, predictive maintenance, SAP, and maintenance management systems. Experience in TPM, Lean techniques, MFMEA, SPC, PPAP, OEE, problem-solving analysis, SAP, Microsoft Office, and Industry 4.0 will be advantageous.
