Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance and Repair:

• Assist in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of mechanical systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machinery.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Assist in diagnosing mechanical faults and determining appropriate solutions.

2. Preventive Maintenance:

• Implement and follow preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Lubricate and clean machinery and equipment as part of regular maintenance routines.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.

3. Troubleshooting:

• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical problems and provide solutions in a timely manner.
• Work closely with senior engineers and technicians to understand complex mechanical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems and ensure proper repairs.

4. Installation and Commissioning:

• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
• Ensure all installations comply with safety and operational standards.

5. Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in safety training and drills.

6. Continuous Improvement:

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and procedures.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improving equipment performance and reliability.
• Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

7. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and downtime.
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports to the Maintenance Manager.
• Assist in maintaining an inventory of spare parts and tools.

8. Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members and departments.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians and apprentices.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
