Maintenance Engineer

Role Overview: As an Engineer in the Digital Solutions team at Operation Center, India (INOPC-PG) for Hitachi Energy PowerGrids, you will play a crucial role in optimizing maintenance policies, enhancing equipment availability, and supporting clients globally. Your responsibilities will include configuring Substation models in a cutting-edge Digital platform, collaborating with clients and the R&D team, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, integrating systems with various protocols, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Support clients worldwide in optimizing maintenance policies and improving equipment availability. - Configure Substation models in the Digital platform and develop efficient Reliability based maintenance plans. - Act as a liaison between clients and the R&D team, work on delivery projects, and support product releases. - Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and propose solutions to prevent further deterioration. - Integrate systems using protocols like OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP. - Collaborate with teams to build data pipelines and scalable edge-to-cloud architectures. - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operation and Maintenance of Substations and Power plants with expertise in network communication in RTU and Scada systems. - Self-starter with the ability to take tasks to completion. - Strong attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
