Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Product Manager with 15 to 20 years of experience to lead the development and execution of strategic direction of our mainframe services portfolio. This position is based in Bangalore (Whitefield), Chennai (Siruseri), Pune (Talawade), or Mumbai (Airoli). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe technologies and excellent communication skills.
Roles and Responsibility
  • Define and maintain the end-to-end mainframe services portfolio, including MFaaS, modernization, optimization, and MF advisory services.
  • Align offerings with market trends, client needs, and internal capabilities.
  • Drive integration of AI and automation into mainframe portfolio elements.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for informed decision-making.
  • Plan and lead initiatives around replatforming, refactoring, and cloud integration.
  • Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to integrate GenAI, Watson Orchestrator, and OpenAI tools into modernization scenarios.
  • Coordinate with sales, delivery, and alliance teams to ensure portfolio readiness and market fit, supporting enablement through training plans and certification frameworks.
  • Track portfolio KPIs, headcount alignment, and certification progress across geographies, providing regular updates to leadership like 360 monthly reviews with senior management.
Job Requirements
  • Good understanding of mainframe technologies such as z/OS, RACF, CICS/MQ, DB2, IMS.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and convert business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strategic thinking and portfolio lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML, cloud-native architectures, and DevSecOps.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Day-to-day portfolio management, facilitation of project reviews and checkpoint meetings, and KPI analysis with risk escalation when necessary.
  • Standards optimization and identification of improvement areas.
