Mainframe Developer/Lead

As a Mainframe Developer/Lead at our prestigious client in Hyderabad/Bangalore, you will be responsible for working with mandatory technology stacks including COBOL, CICS, VSAM, and IMS DB. Your main focus will be on IMS DB hands-on experience in current/recent projects and overall expertise in IMS DB, particularly within the Banking/Finance domain. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize your 10+ years of experience in mainframe development to work with COBOL, CICS, VSAM, IMS DBA, and other mainframe technologies. - Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, especially in resolving Abends. - Collaborate with other technology teams by providing understanding documents for recreating functionalities. - Offer testing support to validate the services created in new technologies. - Provide production support for database issues and integration jobs. - Make changes to IMS databases in Test and Production environments as per application requirements. - Possess good communication and documentation skills to effectively communicate and document processes. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. - Solid experience with COBOL, CICS, VSAM, and IMS DB. - Previous experience in API Development in Mainframe zOS. - Familiarity with mainframe software development tools and platforms. - Ability to work both independently and under direction. - Experience in the Banking domain would be a plus.
