Job Description

The Mainframe Developer will design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM Z Series platform, utilizing COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and ZAPI. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Development:
Design, code, test, and debug applications using COBOL; develop batch scripts with JCL; manage databases with DB2.
System Integration:
Implement CICS transactions; integrate ZAPI for enhanced functionality.
Performance Optimization:
Analyze and improve system performance; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain documentation; generate performance reports.
Collaboration:
Work with teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct application testing; ensure code quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
4 to 5 years of experience with IBM Z Series technologies.
Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and ZAPI.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
