Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development:

  Creating and modifying mainframe applications using languages like COBOL, JCL, and DB2.

• Code Analysis and Testing:

  Analyzing code for errors, performing unit and system testing, and ensuring code quality.

• System Integration:

  Collaborating with other teams to integrate mainframe applications with other systems.

• Collaboration:

  Working with business analysts and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

• Maintenance and Support:

  Providing ongoing support for mainframe applications, including addressing bugs and implementing updates.

Skills Required:

• Programming Languages:

  Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, and DB2 is essential.

• Mainframe Technologies:

  Familiarity with CICS, IMS, and other mainframe-specific technologies.

• System Analysis:

  Ability to analyze and understand complex system logic and requirements.

• Problem-Solving:

  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
