Position: Mainframe Developer PL/I Location : PAN India Work Type: Hybrid Job Type: Full time Experience : 8+ Years Job Description: Primary Focus : Mainframe development using PL/I with strong integration across Unix/Linux environments. Candidate must handle application development, enhancements, and maintenance in a distributed and hybrid system setup, coordinating with cross-functional teams. Technical Skills Mainframe Language : PL/I Scripting & OS Knowledge : Bash Scripting, Unix Commands, Linux Tools Application Development : New development and enhancement capabilities Debugging/Testing : Problem-solving, unit testing, and integration testing Tools : File Management Techniques (e.g., VSAM, flat files) Database Tools (DB2, IMS, etc.) Debugging Tools (IBM Debug Tool, XPEDITOR) Version Control (Endevor, Changeman, Git if integrated) Change Management tools Soft Skills Excellent communication for status calls and requirement discussions Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking Collaboration in an onshore-offshore model Work Hours Flexible for late IST shifts (12 PM10 PM / 1 PM11 PM) TekWissen Group is an equal opportunity employer supporting workforce diversity.
