1. Mainframe Development

   :

• Design, develop, and maintain

  COBOL, JCL, and DB2 programs to support business applications.
• Work on

  CICS screens

  development and integration with back-end systems.
• Write and optimize

  DB2 SQL queries

  , stored procedures, and manage

  SQLCODES

  effectively.
• Handle

  VSAM files

  , creating and managing datasets for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Implement

  DB2 Stored Procedures

  and manage complex data access scenarios.

1. Program Optimization

   :

• Optimize

  JCL

  jobs for performance and ensure that

  SORT

  commands are effectively used for sorting multiple files both programmatically and through JCL.
• Work with

  DB2 SQLs

  , including

  cursors

  , and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the

  mainframe environment

  and improve application performance.

1. Tools and Technologies

   :

• Utilize tools such as

  ChangeMan/Endeavor

  ,

  , and others to facilitate

  mainframe development

  , testing, and deployment.
• Work with

  for message queuing and ensuring reliable communication between mainframe systems and other platforms.
