Mainframe DB2 System Programmer

Role Overview: As a Mainframe DB2 System Admin System Programmer, you will be responsible for installing and customizing software products related to Mainframe DB2 and data replication product suite. You will work in a data sharing SysPlex environment and utilize your problem determination skills to enhance technical issues related to the components being administered. Your ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other experts in the field will be crucial in ensuring the optimal performance of DB2 environments. Key Responsibilities: - Install and customize software products related to Mainframe DB2 and data replication suite - Work in a data sharing SysPlex environment and utilize resources for problem determination and product enhancements - Demonstrate strong problem determination skills in system and application areas - Perform mainframe database software upgrades, administration, and tuning for DB2 environments - Establish policies and procedures for database management, disaster recovery, security, and maintenance - Analyze new versions of DB2 to improve systems performance and reduce costs - Collect, analyze, and tune performance data for DB2 systems - Execute project and internal initiative responsibilities as assigned - Participate in incident and problem management activities related to application and DB2 - Collaborate with team members, functional users, and vendors for project implementation - Provide 24/7 on-call support for Mainframe Infrastructure - Develop and maintain operational documentation, best practices, and run books - Implement tools and procedures for maintaining a stable environment Qualification Required: - 7 years of experience in installing and customizing software products related to Mainframe DB2 - Experience working with large systems in a data sharing SysPlex environment - Strong knowledge of DB2 Sys Prog, DB2 Sys Admin, Mainframe DB2 System Programmer, and DB2 Sys Prog ZOS - High level of personal initiative and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent communication and collaboration skills (Note: No additional details about the company were provided in the job description),
