Description
As a Maintenance Technician at Piramal Healthcare (Canada) Limited, located in Aurora, Ontario, you will be responsible for performing all preventative maintenance procedures to upkeep equipment, facility, heating/cooling systems, pumps, compressors, and more. Your duties will include completing and reviewing documentation such as maintenance logs, work orders, manuals, and inventory control records. You will be required to provide operational troubleshooting on process equipment, facility systems, and R&D equipment. Your role will involve promoting and monitoring safety, the quality of workmanship, efficiency, cleanliness, and compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) within the maintenance department. Additionally, you will be tasked with installing, modifying, servicing, and dismantling mechanical equipment, as well as performing verification/calibration on plant instrumentation and troubleshooting air handling systems. Identifying, resolving, and communicating system/equipment breakdowns, performing general maintenance tasks including cleaning, emergency snow removal, painting, lighting, pipe cleaning, and housekeeping will be part of your responsibilities. You will also assist in root cause analysis for accidents, equipment failures, and process investigations while actively training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Technical Manuals, and safety procedures as required. Maintaining cleanliness and order of the work area to ensure cGMP and safety compliance, acting as a representative of the Maintenance group in dealing with cross-functional teams/task forces on various issues, assisting external contractors as needed, contributing to process improvements and documentation, and chairing monthly team meetings are key aspects of this role. Qualifications: - Secondary school diploma or equivalent - Millwright License preferred - Minimum 6 years progressive experience at Piramal Healthcare (Canada) with all training completed for Maintenance Technician level 3 Work Experience Required: - 6+ years experience in a maintenance role, preferably within pharmaceutical or food manufacturing and/or research facility operating under high-quality and safety standards.
