Job Description

Lotus Notes Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer Lotus Notes/Domino servers and databases
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and server monitoring
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Lotus Notes client and server issues promptly
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Lotus Notes/Domino software and related tools
  • Manage user accounts, mailboxes, and access controls within Lotus Notes
  • Optimize server performance and ensure system reliability and uptime
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Lotus Notes with other enterprise systems
  • Monitor security and apply patches and updates to Lotus Notes environments
  • Provide end-user support and training for Lotus Notes applications and workflows
  • Document processes, configurations, and procedures related to Lotus Notes administration
  • Plan and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for Lotus Notes systems

Required Skills:

  • 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Lotus Notes/Domino administration
  • Strong knowledge of Lotus Notes client and Domino server architecture
  • Experience with Domino Designer for basic application customization and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in managing user accounts, mail routing, and database replication
  • Familiarity with Lotus Notes security model, including ID files and ACLs
  • Experience with backup and recovery procedures in Lotus Notes/Domino
  • Ability to troubleshoot Lotus Notes client/server connectivity issues
  • Good understanding of networking concepts related to Lotus Notes environment
  • Experience with Domino server clustering and high availability setups is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in IBM Lotus Notes/Domino administration
  • Experience with integrating Lotus Notes with Microsoft Exchange or other mail systems
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like LotusScript or JavaScript for automation
  • Familiarity with migration projects from Lotus Notes to other platforms
