Job Title: Looping Coil Operator

Department: Production – Looping Section

Industry: Coil Manufacturing / Electrical Components Manufacturing

Employment Type: Full-time, Plant-based

Experience Required: 0–2 Years (Freshers also considered)

Reporting To: Production Supervisor / Line In-Charge

Job Description

The Looping Coil Operator is responsible for performing coil looping operations as per engineering drawings and standard operating procedures. The role focuses on accurate loop formation while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity. Freshers will be trained as per company standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

Looping Operations

  • Perform coil looping operations manually or using machines as per process requirements.
  • Form accurate and uniform loops as per specifications and drawings.
  • Ensure correct number of turns, loop size, and alignment.

Quality & Inspection

  • Carry out visual and dimensional inspection of loops.
  • Identify defects such as uneven loops, damaged insulation, or incorrect turns.
  • Segregate non-conforming coils and inform the supervisor or quality team.

Production Support

  • Meet shift-wise production targets while maintaining quality standards.
  • Reduce scrap, rework, and material wastage.
  • Ensure smooth handover to the next process.

Tool & Equipment Handling

  • Operate looping tools, jigs, fixtures, and machines safely.
  • Perform basic cleaning and preventive care of equipment.
  • Report machine or tool issues immediately.

Safety & Housekeeping

  • Follow all safety rules, SOPs, and EHS guidelines.
  • Wear PPE including safety shoes and uniform.
  • Maintain 5S and cleanliness in the work area.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Report completed work and production status to the supervisor.
  • Maintain basic job cards and shift records.
  • Communicate issues during shift handover.

Additional Responsibility

  • During idle time, the operator may be assigned to support other shop-floor operations as per production requirements.

Education & Qualification

  • Minimum: 10th / 12th Pass
  • Preferred: ITI (Electrical / Fitter / Production)
  • Freshers with willingness to learn are encouraged to apply

  • Good hand–eye coordination
  • Ability to follow instructions and SOPs
  • Quality and safety awareness
  • Willingness to work in shifts
