Logistics Incharge

• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials.

• Monitor stock levels of raw materials, spare parts, tools, and finished goods.

• Conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.

• Implement FIFO/FEFO systems where applicable.

• Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent damage, contamination, or loss.

• Label, organize, and categorize stock to improve traceability and access.

• Manage the safe handling and storage of hazardous materials (if any).

• Coordinate with the procurement/purchasing department to track deliveries.

• Communicate material shortages or overstock issues to relevant departments.

• Assist in planning for material requirements based on production schedules.

• Lead and manage storekeepers, material handlers, and logistics staff.

• Assign tasks, provide training, and ensure adherence to SOPs.

• Monitor team performance and promote a culture of accountability and safety.

• Maintain updated records in inventory management software or ERP systems (e.g.,

SAP, Oracle, Tally).

• Generate reports on stock movement, aging, slow/non-moving inventory.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations (e.g., ISO,

OSHA).

• Implement and enforce safety protocols in the store area.

• Maintain documentation for audits and inspections.

• Liaise with the production department to ensure timely material availability.

• Work with maintenance to supply required spare parts and tools promptly.

• Support in managing emergency requirements without disrupting operations.

• Oversee proper disposal or return of scrap, rejected, or obsolete materials.

• Coordinate with relevant teams for recycling or waste treatment.Role & responsibilities
