Logistic Supervisor

A Railway Linen Loading/Unloading Supervisor manages the safe and efficient loading and unloading of soiled and clean linen to and from railway trains. Key responsibilities include overseeing workers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, tracking inventory, maintaining equipment, and coordinating with laundry services and railway staff. The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, physical fitness, and familiarity with railway operations and handling procedures for clean and soiled linen. Responsibilities:

• Supervise & Coordinate: Manage and guide a team of workers responsible for loading and unloading linen.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Logistics Management: Oversee the movement of linen, including sorting, loading onto railway cars, and unloading at designated points.
• Inventory & Record Keeping: Monitor stock levels of clean and soiled linen and maintain accurate records of shipments.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of loading equipment and work areas to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.
• Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any problems that arise during the loading/unloading process, such as delays or damaged goods.
• Training & Mentoring: Train new employees on job duties, safety procedures, and the specific handling requirements for railway linen.
• Communication: Collaborate with laundry staff, railway station managers, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Leadership & Supervisory Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
• Physical Fitness: Must be able to handle the physically demanding nature of the work, which may involve standing for long periods and working in various conditions.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in verifying linen counts and ensuring proper handling.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with workers and other departments.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and manage multiple aspects of the operation simultaneously.
• Knowledge of Safety Procedures: Familiarity with general safety regulations and specific procedures for handling linen within a railway environment.
• Experience: Previous experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or railway-related roles is often preferred.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
