Job Description

As a Linux L2 Administrator located in Mumbai with a minimum experience of 3 years, your primary responsibility is to provide advanced support for Linux-based systems. You will handle escalated issues from L1 support and ensure the stability, security, and performance of the systems. Your role demands strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective collaboration with other teams. Key Responsibilities: - System Administration: You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers and related infrastructure. - Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues escalated from L1 support, including OS, hardware, and network problems. - Performance Optimization: Monitor and tune system performance, including kernel parameters and file systems. - Security Management: Implement security patches, perform audits, and ensure compliance with security policies. - High Availability & DR: Design and manage clustering, replication, and backup strategies for business continuity. - Automation: Develop scripts (Bash, Python) for automating routine tasks and configuration management. - Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (network, storage, application) to resolve issues and implement solutions. - Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation and contribute to process improvements. - Escalation Handling: Liaise with L3 support for unresolved or highly complex issues. Required Skills: - Strong knowledge of Linux OS (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu). - Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). - Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). - Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python). - Understanding of monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix). - Knowledge of security hardening and compliance standards. - Hands-on experience with backup and recovery solutions. - Good communication and documentation skills. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field. - Certifications: RHCSA/RHCE preferred; ITIL is a plus. - 4+ years of experience in Linux administration or technical support.
