About the Role

LIMS Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the end-to-end design, configuration, and deployment of LIMS solutions (e.g., LabWare, LabVantage, Thermo Fisher SampleManager, STARLIMS).
• Analyze laboratory workflows to identify opportunities for process improvement and digital enablement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, IT, R&D, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs.
• Customize system configurations, test functionalities, and support validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Develop documentation such as functional specifications, user manuals, and training materials.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as GLP, GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and ISO 17025.
• Provide user training, post-deployment support, and troubleshooting.
• Assist in integrating LIMS with analytical instruments, ERP, ELN, or other enterprise systems.
• Stay informed about LIMS advancements, emerging digital lab technologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or related discipline.

• 5+ years of total experience

  , including

  at least 3 years in LIMS implementation, configuration, or administration.

• Solid understanding of laboratory processes, data management, and regulatory compliance (GxP, GLP/GMP).
• Hands-on experience with at least one major LIMS platform (LabWare, LabVantage, STARLIMS, Caliber LIMS, etc.).
• Knowledge of SQL, database structures, and system integration concepts.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in integrating LIMS with laboratory instruments or enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with cloud-based LIMS or digital transformation projects.
• Exposure to validation and documentation processes in regulated industries.
• Certifications or formal training in LIMS or compliance frameworks (added advantage).
