Lift Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse distribution and materials handling, with experience operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our facility, contributing to our overall operational success.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to load and unload materials.
• Perform order picking tasks using RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory management.
• Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
• Participate in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring safe handling of materials at all times.
• Utilize warehouse management systems for tracking inventory levels and order fulfillment.

Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is required; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and other materials handling equipment.
• Familiarity with order picking processes and shipping & receiving operations.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices related to heavy equipment operation.
• Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
