Job purpose

The Library Assistant is responsible for effective assistance to library collection. He/ She reports to the Librarian and support him in effective management of Library.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Library & Information Science
• Minimum 1-2 years of Relevant Experience
• Computer Knowledge (MS Word/ Excel/ ALICE etc.)

Roles and Responsibilities

• To efficiently support Library In charge in day to day functioning of Library.
• Record keeping (Newspaper/ Journals/ Magazine).
• Maintain the decorum of Library.
• Managing smooth function of library (Book Issue/ Return/Fine Collection etc).
• Maintaining the Library -Record Keeping.
• Journals/ Books/ Magazine/ News paper/ e-Journals etc. from time to time after getting required approval from the concerned authority
• E-Alert/Communication Services on specific subject areas relevant to the Faculty from time to time.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
