Librarian (Female)

Position Overview:

CPS Global School is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic female Librarian to join our progressive academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the school library, ensuring it remains a vibrant hub for reading, research, and learning. This role combines traditional library responsibilities with modern digital literacy support and student engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Library Resource Management
• Handle the selection, acquisition, cataloguing, and systematic organization of library materials.
• Ensure timely removal of outdated or damaged books and resources.
• Maintain an up-to-date and accessible collection in both physical and digital formats.
• Policy & Procedure Implementation
• Develop and implement effective circulation policies and user guidelines.
• Monitor compliance with library procedures and ensure fair usage of resources.
• User Support & Research Assistance
• Guide students and staff in using library resources efficiently.
• Provide support with research, reference queries, and information sourcing.
• Offer orientation sessions and basic training on digital databases and e-resources.
• Team Leadership & Supervision
• Oversee library staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling duties.
• Ensure smooth daily operations and high standards of service delivery.
• Community & School Engagement
• Foster partnerships with local organizations to enhance library programs.
• Promote reading through events, displays, and interactive literacy activities.
• Budget & Reporting
• Manage the librarys annual budget, track expenses, and plan resource procurement.
• Prepare reports on library usage, development initiatives, and financial summaries.
• Library Environment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting atmosphere that encourages reading and learning.
• Ensure the library reflects a welcoming space for all patrons.

Qualifications:

• UG: Any Graduate
• PG: Any Postgraduate (Preferred: Library Science / Information Science)
