Manage day-to-day operations of the school library, including cataloguing, circulation, and maintenance of books and digital resources.
Assist students and teachers in selecting appropriate learning and reference materials aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
Plan and conduct reading programs, book fairs, library periods, and literacy activities to encourage a reading culture.
Maintain records of library assets, subscriptions, and inventory in both physical and digital formats.
Integrate technology in library operations, including library management systems, e-books, and online research tools.
Ensure a quiet, organized, and student-friendly library environment.
Support teachers with research materials and curriculum-based resources.
Adhere to school policies, CBSE guidelines, and academic standards.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Library Science (B.Lib / M.Lib).
Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
Good knowledge of library automation tools and educational technology.
Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and school administration.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills
Student-focused and service-oriented approach
Proficiency in MS Office and library management software
Strong interpersonal and classroom support skills
