Librarian

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Librarian to manage and enhance the librarys learning resources and services. The ideal candidate will organize, maintain, and provide access to a wide range of print and digital materials while supporting students, faculty, and staff in their academic and research needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations of the library, including cataloguing, circulation, and information services.

Maintain an up-to-date database of all library resources (books, journals, e-resources, etc.).

Assist students and faculty in locating and effectively using library materials.

Develop and implement library policies, procedures, and usage guidelines.

Coordinate with academic departments to ensure relevant resources are available.

Organize reading programs, workshops, and information literacy sessions.

Supervise library staff and ensure efficient use of library technology systems.

Ensure proper maintenance and preservation of library materials and facilities.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (mandatory).

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an academic or institutional library.

Strong knowledge of library management systems and digital resource platforms.

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
