Role & responsibilities

Provide strategic legal leadership, oversees all legal aspects of the business, and ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

1. Strategic Legal Guidance: Providing legal advice to senior management on all real estate matters, including acquisitions, sales, leasing, and development projects.

2. Contract Management: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various real estate contracts such as sale deeds, lease agreements, development agreements, and joint venture agreements.

3. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring the company's adherence to all applicable real estate laws, including RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority), land revenue regulations, and local municipal laws.

4. Litigation Management: Managing and overseeing all legal disputes and litigation related to real estate matters, including representing the company in legal forums.

5. Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating legal risks associated with real estate transactions and operations, developing and implementing risk management strategies.

6. Compliance Frameworks: Developing and implementing robust legal compliance frameworks across different regions and business units.

7. Legal Documentation: Overseeing the preparation and maintenance of all legal documents related to real estate transactions and operations.

8. Team Leadership: Leading and managing a team of in-house legal professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.

Preferred candidate profile

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Legal Expertise: Deep understanding of real estate law, contract law, property law, and regulatory compliance.

2. Contract Negotiation: Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex real estate contracts.

3. Litigation Management: Experience in handling real estate litigation and dispute resolution.

4. Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks.

5. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and comprehension skills, with the ability to identify critical legal issues and provide effective solutions.

6. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and concisely.

Minimum 8-10 years of experience in real estate legal matters, with main focus on real estate development works, RERA, and regulatory affairs.
