Job Description

As a Legal Counsel at our company, you will be responsible for drafting and reviewing complex commercial IT contracts governed by various European laws. This includes agreements such as IT outsourcing agreements, IT service agreements, alliance agreements, subcontracting agreements, license agreements, and other relevant contracts for our IT service provider business. Your role will involve reviewing proposals, assisting in preparing proposals, and responding to requests for proposals (RFPs). You will also participate in negotiations with customers and vendors across continental Europe to ensure compliance with internal contracting requirements, policies, and risk mitigation procedures. Managing internal escalation and approval procedures will be a key part of your responsibilities. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing legal issues and commercial risks, providing clear recommendations to business teams and senior management. Acting as a bridge between local offices and global headquarters, you will serve as a legal advisor and interface with the global legal team for general corporate compliance. Keeping track of relevant laws and regulations impacting our business operations and policies will be essential. Additionally, sharing insights on local laws and business trends within the global legal community at Infosys will be expected from you. Key Responsibilities: - Drafting and reviewing complex commercial IT contracts in compliance with European laws - Reviewing and responding to proposals and RFPs - Participating in negotiations with customers and vendors across continental Europe - Analyzing legal issues and commercial risks, providing clear recommendations - Serving as a legal advisor for general corporate compliance - Tracking relevant laws and regulations impacting the company - Sharing knowledge on local laws and business trends within the global legal community Skills & Mindset Requirements: - 4 to 8 years of experience in handling high-value and complex transactions - Excellent contract drafting, writing, and negotiation skills - Well-organized, stress-resistant, and able to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams - Domain expertise in contracting and legal matters related to the IT industry - Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written - Knowledge of common law principles and European laws - Approachable and responsive to business requirements - Ability to provide solutions to complex commercial and legal issues - Willingness to travel within continental Europe for client meetings and negotiations - Basic knowledge of litigation is preferable - Sense of humor and stress resistance Qualification Requirements: - LLB or equivalent law background - LLM preferred - 4-8 years of relevant experience Join our team and contribute your legal expertise to drive success in our IT service provider business.,
