Leather Technologist

As a Leather Technologist at our Chennai location, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the production processes of leather goods. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that high-quality standards are consistently met, implementing new technologies and innovations in leather processing, and supervising the tanning process. Your day-to-day tasks will also involve conducting quality checks, researching and developing new leather treatments, analyzing production data, collaborating with design and production teams, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. To excel in this role, you should possess a strong knowledge of leather production processes and quality control measures. Expertise in the tanning process, chemical knowledge, and understanding of leather properties are essential. Additionally, research and development skills, as well as the ability to innovate in leather treatments, will be key to success. You should have excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong organizational and project management skills are important for effectively carrying out your responsibilities. An academic background in Leather Technology or a related field is required for this position. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous in meeting the demands of the role effectively.,
