Role Summary

The Officer – Learning & Development will play a key role in executing and supporting L&D initiatives that enhance employee capabilities and drive business growth. The role demands strong coordination, stakeholder engagement, and execution skills, with focus areas including structured onboarding, capability building, training needs analysis, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Induction & Onboarding

  • Execute structured onboarding and induction programs (Bandhan, ITRAIN) for Managers, Management Trainees (MTs), Summer Interns, and off-roll employees.
  • Facilitate HR induction sessions and design engaging classroom content.
  • Track onboarding effectiveness through surveys and assessments.
  • Partner with SMEs and assessment vendors to conduct proctored functional assessments, including question bank collation and setup.
  • Release timely organizational announcements for new hires.
  • Manage lateral internship processes (offers, tracking, reporting).
  • Oversee automation and timely delivery of welcome kits across geographies.

2. Training Needs Analysis & Calendar Execution

  • Conduct training needs analysis with business and HR teams across Manufacturing and Enabling functions.
  • Design and execute the annual training calendar addressing functional and behavioral capability gaps.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and reporting.

3. Program Management

  • Support need-based and request-based functional capability programs, including vendor coordination (course outlines, quotations, training enquiries, and payments).
  • Coordinate internal faculty-led sessions under the Berger PGDGM program with external institutes—covering calendar finalization, content collation, and material iterations.

4. Employer Branding & Recognition

  • Partner with the Retail-Digital team to conceptualize, validate, and publish HR/employer branding content on LinkedIn.
  • Organize and implement employee engagement initiatives.
  • Track and administer Long Service Awards on a quarterly basis.

5. Talent Development & Engagement

  • Provide support for career progression processes and annual promotion cycles.

6. Compliance & Reporting

  • Collate and report L&D-related data for BRSR, ESG, and ISO audits.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA or equivalent in HR or related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in Learning & Development or Talent Management.
  • Exposure to training needs analysis, onboarding, and content design preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong facilitation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, LMS platforms, and digital content tools.
  • Analytical ability to interpret training data and feedback.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Creativity in induction design and engagement initiatives.
