Description
The main responsibility of this role is to ensure the delivery of high-quality machines manufactured at Milacron, India and distributed to customers worldwide. As the Director - Quality Control, you will oversee Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Quality Control (Runoff and Machine Inspection), and Supplied Part Quality, with direct reports under your supervision. Your duties and responsibilities will include developing, managing, and driving Key Metrics to showcase the plant's quality performance, leading a team of quality professionals, attracting and retaining top talent for Plant Quality functions, utilizing Lean processes to enhance Standard Work, collaborating with the Global QMS Lead to ensure the proper tools and processes are in place, managing resources to meet business commitments and metrics consistently, analyzing data to generate reports, working with department Leaders to make informed decisions, implementing Performance Management processes for employee development and compensation, and utilizing Problem Solving tools to address part discrepancies promptly. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing time entry, workflow efficiency, communicating regularly on Plant Quality status, ensuring ISO9001 compliance, and developing and implementing strategies to achieve a first pass yield of over 95% on assembled equipment. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or Manufacturing field, possess 15 years of experience in a Manufacturing Assembly environment, demonstrate successful team leadership and workflow management, and have a proven track record in quality system development and management. Technical requirements for this role include strong Problem Solving and analytical skills, proficiency in creating reports using Excel and other analytical tools, experience in troubleshooting complex systems with Mechanical, Electrical, and Software components, and knowledge of Machine Technologies.
