Role Summary:
As a Lead / Senior Experience Designer at Chubb, you will lead the full spectrum of product design activities, focusing on creating exceptional user experiences that solve customer problems. This role involves integrating user experience and creative design to enhance the usability and design of Chubbs digital solutions. You will guide user-centered methodologies from strategy, research, design, to user testing, ensuring intuitive and effective digital solutions. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including business units, product owners, technology, brand, and marketing, to redefine Chubb's digital experience.

What You Will Do:
- Lead the UX process and implementation of projects across various business units.
- Employ user-centric design practices to conceptualize interfaces and visualize digital experiences, ensuring each touchpoint connects to the full user experience.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to analyze user research and synthesize data to identify opportunities and recommend user-centric design directions.
- Conduct user testing and qualitative sessions to enhance engagement, usability, and affinity.
- Apply, promote, and iterate design guidelines, best practices, and standards, such as the Chubb Design System.
- Produce adaptive design screens and provide UI implementation support across different platforms and sites.
- Illustrate design ideas using collaborative design tools like Figma.
- Connect design strategy to business results, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Champion human-centered design (HCD) by promoting and supporting a design approach that involves discovering, defining, ideating, prototyping, and testing experiences.
- Act as a guardian of the digital customer experience, ensuring products are valuable, desirable, feasible, and viable.
- Collaborate with and manage vendors to ensure UX solutions meet standards.
- Establish design principles, UX patterns, and guidelines for consistency across platforms.
- Design intuitive and engaging interactions that enhance the user experience, such as animations, transitions, and interactive elements.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Prepare documentation and presentations to effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders
What You Bring (Qualifications):
Foundational Skills:
- Willingness to challenge the status quo for the benefit of end user and user experience design.
- Ability to effectively interact with key roles within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and time management skills, with a sense of ownership and urgency.
- Ability to facilitate design feedback/review sessions and explain design approaches or technical details.
- Experience with an iterative design process and a recognition that the first design is rarely the final design (MVP mindset).
- Familiarity with design thinking and human-centered design frameworks.
- Willingness to learn and adopt Agile ways of working. Design Skills:
- Extensive experience in UX and UI design activities, including UX research, wireframing, high-fidelity UI design, and user testing.
- Proficiency in collaborative design tools such as Figma and Mural.
- Understanding of design implementation beyond delivering proof of concept designs.
- Experience with responsive design and UI handoff.
- Knowledge of web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Ability to conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Experience working within Agile methodologies to iterate on user feedback.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field with 5+ years of experience in user experience design.
- Understanding of insurance would be advantageous.
