Lead Software Engineer/LMTS - Backend - Distributed Systems

Role Overview: Salesforce is looking for software developers who are passionate about creating impactful solutions for users, the company, and the industry. As a Lead Backend Software Engineer, you will work with a team of talented engineers to design and implement new features on Salesforce's CRM platform. Your role will involve developing high-quality code, making design decisions for performance and scalability, and contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: - Build new components to enhance the market technology and improve scale and efficiency. - Develop production-ready code for millions of users on the cloud platform. - Make design decisions based on performance, scalability, and future expansion. - Contribute to all phases of SDLC including design, implementation, code reviews, automation, and testing. - Create efficient components on a microservice multi-tenant SaaS cloud environment. - Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and conduct code reviews. Qualifications Required: - Mastery of multiple programming languages and platforms. - Minimum 10 years of software development experience. - Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and scripting languages like Java, Python, Scala, C#, Go, Node.JS, and C++. - Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Postgres, Trino, Redshift, Mongo). - Experience in developing SAAS products on public cloud infrastructure like AWS, Azure, and GCP. - Proven experience in designing and developing distributed systems at scale. - Proficiency in queues, locks, scheduling, event-driven architecture, and workload distribution. - Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases. - Understanding of software development best practices and leadership skills. - Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
