Lead Software Engineer - Python AWS React/Typescript

As a Lead Software Engineer at NEC Software Solutions (India) Private Limited, your role will involve working on innovative applications in the Public Safety sector that utilize AI to enhance efficiency. Specifically, you will contribute to an AI-enabled product roadmap aimed at reducing the time spent on document redaction for police forces in England and Wales. Working closely with the product owner and Solution Architect, you will be responsible for developing new functionalities to support this initiative. To excel in this role, you should possess expert hands-on knowledge as a Python developer and demonstrate proficiency in writing reusable, testable, and efficient Python code. Additionally, you should have experience with document and image processing libraries, API Gateway, backend CRUD operations, cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS), serverless application model, cloud formation, infrastructure-as-code, and various AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3 buckets, Dynamo DB, and RDS. On the frontend side, you should be skilled in TypeScript and React, with the ability to design clean and user-friendly interfaces. Your responsibilities will include backend programming for web applications, JavaScript (TypeScript & React) development, and gathering requirements from users. A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle is essential, along with the ability to hold UK NPPV-3 and SC clearances. This full-time position is based in Mumbai, requiring 8.5 hours of work per day.
