Lead Software Engineer

Role Overview: As a Lead Engineer at NEXUSsoft, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and deployment of scalable web applications using PHP and associated technologies. Your role will involve managing MySQL database architecture, ensuring code quality, supervising a team of developers, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve successful project completion. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable web applications using PHP and associated technologies. - Manage MySQL database architecture, optimization, and performance enhancement. - Supervise code reviews, testing strategies, and uphold high standards of code quality and security. - Manage DevOps tasks such as CI/CD pipelines, deployment, monitoring, and incident response. - Oversee GitHub repositories, branching strategies, pull requests, and release processes. - Serve as the primary technical focal point in guaranteeing alignment between technical solutions and business needs. - Collaborate with QA to establish testing frameworks and strategies. - Resolve technical issues across the stack, from code to infrastructure. - Coordinate and oversee project timelines, deliverables, and resources to achieve business objectives. Qualification Required: - 7+ years of PHP development experience (Laravel, Symfony, or similar frameworks preferred). - Profound expertise in web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and RESTful APIs. - Hands-on experience with MySQL (queries, indexing, optimization). - Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (Docker, CI/CD, Nginx/Apache configuration, cloud services). - Advanced knowledge of Git/GitHub workflows. - Demonstrated capability in managing technical projects and leading a team. - Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. - Strong communication and documentation abilities.
