Lead Software Engineer - Java

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banking - Trade team, you play a crucial role in an agile environment. Your primary responsibilities include: - Executing creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine approaches - Developing secure high-quality production code, reviewing, and debugging code written by others - Identifying opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues for improving operational stability - Leading evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs - Leading communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new technologies - Contributing to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect In terms of qualifications, you should have: - Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience - Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability - Advanced skills in Core Java, J2EE development, application servers, web servers, IDEs, frameworks like Spring, ORM concepts, and database programming - Experience with code quality tools like SONAR, Checkstyle, PMD, automation, continuous delivery methods, and the Software Development Life Cycle - Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, application resiliency, security, and software applications within a technical discipline - In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and practical cloud native experience Preferred qualifications for this role include: - Experience with NoSql DB and AWS - Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Development experience, including Python Language development - Exposure to Agile development lifecycle - Java & Cloud Certification - Proficiency in Mule ESB would be advantageous Don't forget to leverage your expertise and contribute to driving innovative solutions within the team.,
