Job Description

As a Lead Software Engineer in Test for Cross Border Services, you will play a crucial role in driving the overall test strategy for multiple service offerings, ensuring adherence to test automation standards of excellence. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of Quality Engineers, elevating the overall standard of testing, collaborating with Product Owners and Technical leads to identify test needs, conducting POCs for early automation, monitoring unit test coverage and quality gating, owning performance suite, and researching alternative test frameworks and tools. Additionally, you will be sharing your competence and knowledge across the team and executing exploratory testing as required. - Drive the overall test strategy for multiple service offerings with a focus on test automation standards - Lead a team of Quality Engineers, providing guidance and direction - Elevate the overall standard of testing by bringing vision and insights to how testing is conducted - Collaborate with Product Owners, Technical leads, and developers to ensure testability in designs - Conduct POCs for early automation and ensure framework additions are in place - Monitor unit test coverage, quality gating, and own smoke/integration testing across all environments - Own the performance suite, test runs, and analyze results - Research and implement alternative test frameworks, tools, and strategies to meet changing business needs - Share competence and knowledge with the team - Execute exploratory testing as required - Excellent hands-on test automation skills in Java, with experience in unit, functional, and integration testing - Proficiency in Selenium, Karate (mandatory), Core JAVA, XPath, MySQL, and Postman - Expertise in full stack software development test approaches & frameworks like TDD/BDD, Unit tests, Cucumber, Selenium, Rest Assured, Karate - In-depth knowledge of test strategies including Chaos testing and mutation testing - Experience working in a cloud environment such as PCF, AWS, Azure - Strong command of CI/CD principles and tools like Maven, Jenkins, Chef - Experience in defining performance tests using JMeter, analyzing performance test runs, and identifying performance bottlenecks - Proven experience in elevating test standards and spearheading quality initiatives - Prior experience in leading a small quality team would be advantageous - Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills - Ability to show initiative, navigate ambiguity, and influence others as a critical thinker - Result-oriented individual with Automation experience and Code Quality - Excellent communicator,
