Lead Software Engineer - BI/Data Platform Lead

As the Data Platform Engineering Lead at JPMorgan Chase within Asset and Wealth Management, you play a crucial role as part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering cutting-edge technology products securely and at scale. Your responsibilities involve leading the design, development, and implementation of scalable data pipelines, mentoring a team of data engineers, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring optimal data infrastructure on cloud platforms. - Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data pipelines and ETL batches using Python/PySpark on AWS. - Execute standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting. - Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, providing guidance and support for successful product delivery. - Collaborate proactively with stakeholders and technology teams to translate business/technical requirements into technical solutions. - Optimize and maintain data infrastructure on cloud platforms to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance. - Implement data governance and best practices for data quality and compliance. - Monitor and troubleshoot application and data pipelines, resolving issues promptly. - Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation. - Contribute to a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and respectful team culture. - Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with a minimum of 5 years of applied experience. - Hands-on experience in software development and data engineering, particularly in Python and PySpark. - Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Understanding of data modeling, data architecture, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. - Familiarity with cloud native ETL platforms such as Snowflake and/or Databricks. - Experience with big data technologies like AWS EMRs, Redshift, Lambda, S3. - Proficiency in Cloud DevOps practices and CI/CD tools like Jenkins/Gitlab for data engineering platforms. - Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including performance tuning and optimization. - Experience with declarative infra provisioning tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. - Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and optimizing data processes. - Proven track record in leading and managing a team/pod of engineers for successful project delivery.,
