Lead Security Engineer

Role Overview: As a Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Tech Controls team, you play a crucial role in enhancing, building, and delivering trusted market-leading technology products securely and at scale. Your responsibilities include conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas to support the firm's business objectives. You will collaborate with product, architect, and security team members to mentor and develop junior team members, contributing to the strategic growth of our control's ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: - Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with an innovative approach - Develop secure high-quality production code, review and debug code, and identify opportunities for automation to enhance operational stability - Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive architectural designs and technical applicability - Foster communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote the adoption of new technologies - Cultivate a team culture emphasizing diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Qualifications Required: - Formal training or certification in Security Engineering concepts with at least 5 years of applied experience - Proficiency in hands-on Python development on large/medium projects - Cloud expertise, including experience with Terraform scripting and deployment - Deep understanding of Python data structures, standard library, third-party packages, testing frameworks, and ORM libraries - Experience in AWS Data Analytics platform and related services such as S3, AWS Glue, RedShift, Athena, Lake Formation, and Lambda - Knowledge of Application Design and Design Patterns, Agile Development environment, Graph Databases, and Relational Databases - Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle Additional Company Details: N/A,
