Job Description

Role Overview

R&D Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Management

Lead and manage a dynamic R&D, applications, and analytical team (1015 members), including Senior Scientists, Scientists, Executives, and Trainees.
Foster collaboration, mentorship, and professional development within the team.

2. Project Planning & Execution

Design and implement innovative research projects.
Prepare and monitor daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly project plans.
Ensure timely delivery of milestones and results.

3. New Product Development

Drive R&D initiatives in
biobased formulations
for:

Textile auxiliaries
Paper auxiliaries
Home care and institutional cleaning products
Cosmetics & personal care products
Water treatment products

Guide the team in:

New product research
Optimization studies
Application trials in specialized labs
Data compilation, analysis, and technical report writing
Adoption of innovation methodologies and literature review techniques

4. Laboratory Operations & Compliance

Develop customized SOPs and lab procedures to ensure smooth and safe operations.
Maintain thorough and accurate lab documentation, including experimental data, project reports, technology write-ups, and product specification sheets.
Ensure compliance with regulatory norms (DSIR, DST, PCB, etc.) and government guidelines.

5. Technical Expertise & Collaboration

Utilize strong analytical skills, including proficiency with laboratory testing equipment and analytical instruments.
Demonstrate deep subject knowledge in chemistry, surfactant chemistry, and biotechnology.
Collaborate with the marketing team to conduct troubleshooting experiments for market products and existing applications.
