Lead Product Engineer

Planning

• Mandatory Design Kick-off at the beginning of the program.
• Engineering (RFQ/E-BOM/DFM) delivery planning & on-time delivery.
• Engineering/ technology project management
• ECN management & CMR

Project Execution

• Ensure product design according to standards and guidelines.
• Translate product defined performance criteria with respect to Functional, DVP specifications & manufacturing into desired product.
• Responsible for PFD, FTG/Poka-Yoke identification & support to PFMEA
• Negotiation with counterpart/CFT on matters pertaining to delivery date, deliverables and commercial with respect to Organizational benefit.

Team Management

• Identify training needs for the team members based on their skill matrix to uphold & abide by code of ethics & Management.
• Ensure the Project team are delivering as per customer requirement
• Set objectives, conduct reviews for the team as per timelines

Review Mechanism

• Daily review with team and resolve issues, concerns & project stoppers.
• Weekly review Management for Project status & critical points.
• CFT meeting & customer review meeting on weekly basis.

Process Enhancement

• To achieve product Quality, cost & delivery.
• To achieve technology RTD project target, POC proving, submission on time.
• To achieve VAVE targets so organization financial targets.
• At the end of a program, make appropriate capitalization documents (Lessons learned, Technical Reports) to feed/improve Design and Development standards and guidelines.
• Awareness of VDS/QMs/ EMS OHSAS/ IATF/APQP/PPAP, etc. policy & Processes
• Ensuring all work process & procedures are in line with QMS objectives & reporting any incident of deviation from QMS.
