Role Purpose
The Lead Procurement-MEP role is pivotal in driving the strategic procurement of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services and materials for AdaniConneXs data center projects. This position ensures the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality MEP resources, aligning with the business unit’s vision to deliver environmentally conscious and state-of-the-art digital infrastructure at scale. The role supports the operational excellence and sustainability goals of AdaniConneX by leveraging advanced procurement strategies and supplier partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for MEP services and materials, ensuring alignment with AdaniConneX’s data center project timelines and quality standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers with proven expertise in MEP services, fostering long-term partnerships.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve cost efficiency while maintaining quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to understand technical specifications and ensure procurement meets design and operational requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations, addressing any deviations proactively.
- Implement procurement best practices, including risk management, cost analysis, and supplier diversification.
- Utilize digital tools and platforms for procurement planning, tracking, and reporting to enhance operational transparency.
- Support sustainability initiatives by sourcing eco-friendly and energy-efficient MEP solutions.
- Ensure seamless coordination with logistics and inventory teams for timely delivery and storage of procured materials.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in MEP services to incorporate cutting-edge solutions into procurement strategies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience of 10–15 years in procurement, specifically in MEP services within large-scale infrastructure or data center projects.
- Expertise in supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, materials, and technologies relevant to data center operations.
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- MBA or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management or Operations (preferred).
