Lead PostgreSQL

As a Lead PostgreSQL, you will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing PostgreSQL databases to ensure high performance, reliability, and availability. Your key responsibilities include database management & maintenance, database design & development, performance monitoring & optimization, data security & compliance, database migration & version control, backup & disaster recovery, and UPI PSP Schema Knowledge. You will collaborate with developers and architects to design database structures that support application requirements and develop schemas, indexes, tables, views, and functions. Monitoring database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimization strategies will also be part of your role. Implementing and managing database security, conducting regular security audits and backups, and supporting database version upgrades and migrations are essential tasks. To succeed in this role, you should have 7+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, primarily with PostgreSQL. Proficiency in PostgreSQL database management, tuning, and optimization, strong knowledge of SQL, PL/pgSQL, indexing, and query optimization, and experience in database security, access controls, and regulatory compliance are required. Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies is also crucial. You should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Additionally, having strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will be beneficial for this role.,
