This alignment aims to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT-enabled processes, delivering Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services worldwide in a cost-efficient manner. Currently, Corning is seeking a Lead Network Security Engineer with a mandatory requirement of Juniper firewall experience. As a Lead Network Security Engineer, your responsibilities will include physically installing and connecting firewalls and other security appliances, installing the latest vendor-approved stable firmware on appliances, monitoring firewalls for up/down or issues, documenting root cause analysis, and creating virtual firewalls with appropriate configurations and policies. You will also be responsible for configuring remote access VPN and site-to-site VPN functionality, firewall interfaces, network configurations, access control lists and policies, routing, remote access (VPN), and next-generation firewall feature sets implementing best practices. Moreover, you will be expected to integrate firewalls with Camstar and other custom MES systems, integrate firewalls with Ivanti Pulse Secure and other Juniper products as required, support out-of-band connectivity devices and log collectors, configure SIEM Integration, and conduct advanced troubleshooting on a full range of Juniper SRX and Palo Alto products. Additionally, you will be responsible for the collection, analysis, and change recommendations of configuration information to streamline support and minimize impact on manufacturing, as well as consultation of technical documentation, bulletins, and release notes for known problems. Your role will also involve following up on technical cases, managing customer communications and expectations until the closure of each case, including vendor escalations, device RMA, and coordination support. You will need to create or maintain standard operating procedures and be available to work after hours and/or be part of an on-call rotation to ensure the smooth functioning of network security operations.,
