Job Description

As a skilled Network and Security Operations professional, you will be responsible for various key tasks related to managing and maintaining network infrastructure as well as ensuring the security of the organization's IT environment. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Firewall Management: You will be tasked with configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls, including policies, NAT, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), and threat prevention. - Network Infrastructure: Your role will involve managing and maintaining enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, which includes switching and routing (L2/L3), VLANs, STP, OSPF, and BGP. - Wireless Networking: You will deploy and maintain enterprise wireless networks using platforms such as Aruba, Fortinet, or similar technologies, and troubleshoot coverage and connectivity issues. - Load Balancing: Configuration and management of load balancers will be crucial for application availability, traffic distribution, and SSL offloading. - Proxy Management: Deploying and maintaining proxy solutions for secure web access, URL filtering, and logging will also be part of your duties. - Security Operations: Conducting vulnerability assessments, ensuring timely fixes and patching of network and security devices, assisting in security incident response, log analysis, and remediation. - Upgrades & Maintenance: Planning and executing firmware and software upgrades for network and security devices in compliance with change management processes. - Monitoring: Utilizing network and security monitoring tools for real-time performance monitoring. - ITSM Process Adherence: Following ITIL/ITSM processes including incident management, problem management, and change management, and maintaining accurate documentation for network diagrams, device configurations, incidents, and changes. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications: - Experience in network and security operations. - Hands-on experience with Cisco and Fortinet firewall platforms. - Strong knowledge of switching, routing, and wireless networking. - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, OCI, etc. - Experience with vulnerability management and security patching. - Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM processes (incident, problem, change management). - Proficiency with monitoring and logging tools. - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. - Preferred Certifications: CCNP, Fortinet NSE4, ITIL Foundation.
