Lead Network Engineer - L2

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Network Engineer - Implementation Expert to manage and execute advanced IT networking and security projects. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing network solutions that meet client needs while ensuring robust security. The ideal candidate will have strong network engineering expertise, project management skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions in diverse client environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement:

• Travel to client sites to assess network requirements and design appropriate solutions.
• Evaluate existing infrastructure to identify client needs and areas for improvement.

Network Design and Implementation:

• Develop tailored network architectures and solutions.
• Deploy network systems including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and load balancers.

Configuration and Optimization:

• Configure and optimize routing protocols and router settings.
• Set up and manage LAN switches, including VLAN configuration.
• Implement and configure firewalls to secure network perimeters.
• Install and configure wireless access points for secure Wi-Fi connectivity.
• Deploy and manage load balancing solutions for optimal traffic distribution.

Testing and Validation:

• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of network setups to ensure functionality, performance, and alignment with client requirements.

Troubleshooting and Support:

• Diagnose and resolve network issues encountered during and after implementation.
• Provide ongoing support to maintain system stability and client satisfaction.

Documentation:

• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, installation processes, and client-specific instructions.
• Ensure all changes and updates are accurately recorded.

Compliance and Standards:

• Ensure all network implementations adhere to industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, within budget, and according to project specifications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field.
• CCNA certification required; CCNP/CCIE preferred.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in implementation and client-facing roles.
• Extensive experience configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and load balancers.
• Proficiency in network protocols, routing, switching, and security practices.
• Familiarity with network management and monitoring tools.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as necessary.
• Proven ability to manage projects, adhere to deadlines, and collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
