Lead Mech Design Engr

You must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aerospace Engineering with over 10 years of relevant experience in finite element simulation, computational fluid dynamics simulation, or heat transfer simulation of mechanical components. Additionally, you must be an Indian Citizen. As a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and simulating mechanical components. Your role will involve having a comprehensive understanding of component design for mechanical strength, heat transfer, or flow. You will collaborate closely with other engineers, review technical deliverables, mentor junior engineers, ensure the quality of technical deliverables, review project cost and schedule estimates to meet global standards, and lead the team in design reviews. It is essential to stay updated with technology trends in the field and collaborate with various engineering professionals to define engineering activities during the design phases of propulsion engines or auxiliary power units. Your responsibilities will include designing and simulating mechanical components using tools such as Ansys, StarCCM, Fine Turbo, or AxCent. You will be accountable for all technical requirements, provide effort estimates, work with the engineering manager and team to define schedules and costs, and deliver conceptual, preliminary, or detailed design reviews. Establishing best practices, lessons learned, and managing design knowledge will be crucial. Driving growth and innovation by staying updated with technology trends, generating new ideas, proving concepts for technology insertion, and guiding junior engineers will also be part of your role. Furthermore, you will be responsible for making technical decisions, coordinating technical requirements with stakeholders and customers, advising leadership and customers on technical aspects, and collaborating with peers and program PEs to ensure overall program success.
