Job Description

Role Proficiency:

Ensuring adherence to test practices and process to improve test coverage

Outcomes:

  1. Create Test Estimates and Schedules
  2. Identify business processes conduct risk analysis and ensure test coverage
  3. Ensure adherence of processes and standards
  4. Produce test results defect reports test logs and reports for evidence of testing
  5. Publish RCA reports and preventive measures
  6. Report progress of testing
  7. Contribute for Revenue savings for client by suggesting alternate method
  8. Quality of Deliverables

  1. Test Script Creation and Execution Productivity
  2. Defect Leakage Metrics (% of defect leaked % of UAT defects and % of Production defects)

    1. Additional Comments:

      The incumbent should have an overall experience of 5-8 years in Software Testing for IT development Projects role with 5 years specific to ServiceNow software suite, in the below technical areas: Good Understanding of development and implementation of as a service and cloud platforms and products. Experience of Development of Customized SaaS Platforms Previous experience implementing and configuring the ServiceNow software suite in one or more of the following modules: Incident Management, Problem Management, Request Management, Change Management, Performance Analytics, Asset Management, Release Management, Asset Management, IT Cost Management, Discovery, Orchestration, ITOM In-depth understanding and hands-on application of Service Management business processes. ITIL/ITOM knowledge is a plus. Experience in preparing test plan, test scenarios, test cases, test case Review, execution and reporting the Defects. Expertise in different Manual Testing methods like Regression Testing, User Acceptance testing, Smoke Testing, Retesting, System/Functional Testing, Ad-hoc Testing, Integration testing, security testing, performance testing and GUI Testing. Having Good knowledge on ServiceNow ITSM tool and has experience on testing the Incident/Ticket/Case process flows and ServiceNow Integration process flows. Understanding the business requirements by coordinating with the Implementation/Platform Maintenance Team & Business Stakeholders. Preparing test Cases, test scenarios from the user stories, and Requirements Document received from client. Reviewing the Test cases, executing the Test cases and publishing the Test Execution results. Updating/modifying the test cases as per the development changes. Performing smoke, Functional Testing, Re-Testing and Regression testing, Integration testing for the applications integrated with ServiceNow instance. Preparing defect report as per severity and priority. Running the regression check list items for each Instance upgrade and new releases Having Good knowledge on Automation Testing frameworks Good experience in cross browser testing (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera), APIs testing as well as Mobile testing on different devices (Android, iOS & Windows Phone) Well acquainted with Testing Methodologies and having solid knowledge on SDLC, STLC, Bug Life Cycle and Production Support process. Having good Experience in sprint planning, estimating story points, playing planning poker, attending daily scrum calls, defect management, performing application demos to product and sales teams, retrospective meetings and process improvements. Experience working with a diverse functional and technical team on multiple concurrent streams tracks of work.
