Lead Engineer - Testing

As a Manual and Automation Tester at FIS, you will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and upgrading test scripts, utilities, and other necessary tools to execute test plans effectively. Your responsibilities will include conducting usability testing for system performance, reliability, scalability, and security, and communicating testing activities and findings clearly through oral and written forms. You will be in charge of managing your daily test activities and providing internal quality assurance, while also supporting the test lead in identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the test script library and performing any other related duties as required. To qualify for this role, you should have 4 to 5 years of experience in Manual and Automation testing, with proficiency in tools such as Selenium or SAFAL and SQL. Knowledge of Azure and domain expertise in the Commodity market would be advantageous, along with hands-on experience in automation testing. You should possess a Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Additionally, you should demonstrate knowledge of software testing methods, tools, and technologies, as well as quality management practices to ensure defect-free application software that meets client/business partner needs. Your expertise in writing complex queries for data validation and troubleshooting in primary database engines will be essential, along with familiarity with object-oriented development tools and principles. In this role, your ability to understand and address client needs, make sound decisions, and solve problems effectively will be crucial. You should be comfortable working in an agile development environment, collaborating closely with developers, and delivering results under pressure. Strong interpersonal and team-building skills are necessary for working with both technical and non-technical individuals, and you should be adept at communicating clearly, both verbally and in writing. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, clients, vendors, and the public will also be key to your success in this position.
