Position & Designation- Lead Engineer- Instrumentation & Control
Division & Department- Green Hydrogen, Engineering
Job Profile
a) Key Objectives
- Candidate shall perform/ create and deliver various engineering deliverables independently or with minimal guidance for MW scale electrolyzer stack of SOEC technology, balance of stack products, test facility and pilot projects/prototypes.
- Candidate shall carry out basic and detail Engineering of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control System as per the design practices provided by Licensor and applicable code and standard.
b) Major Deliverables
Instrumentation:
- Sizing and specifications of different types of Control valves, transmitters, analyzers, sampling systems, flow instrumentation, custody metering and pneumatic systems.
- RFQ preparation, bid evaluation and Vendor drawing review - Control System (PLC/ DCS), Field Instruments, Gas Analyzers, Gas Detectors, Control Valve/ On Off Valves etc.
- Preparation of Instrument List, I/O List, JB Schedule, I&C Cable Interconnection Drawings, UPS load List, Data Sheets of Instruments, Control System (PLC/ DCS) Control Valves/ on/ Off Valves, etc.
- Preparation of Instrument Hook Up Drawings, Instrument Location Layout
- BoQ Estimation of I&C cable, Erection Hardware, JB, Instrument Racks
Control System:
- Creation of system architecture, Detailed Engineering of components, providing the technical specification for the procurement of the related components from reputed vendors.
- Exploring competent suppliers, Vendor Coordination, and pre-engineering of the - Control System (PLC/ DCS) suitable for the application, Bid Evaluation, and optimization.
- Development of Control Logics, Function blocks, writing programs.
- Creation of schematic and wiring diagrams.
- Participating in Pre-FAT/ FAT of Control System, review of routine/type test reports and issuing technical clearances.
Electrical
- Basic engineering, RFQ preparation, bid evaluation and Vendor drawing review for Electrical Systems like Motors, MoV, Switchgears, cables, trays etc.
- Witnessing, FATs, review of test reports, technical clearances.
- Creation of Electrical System interface details like drive control philosophy, MCC schematics.
- Creation of Bill of Materials/Lists/Schedules.
Overall:
- Creating input documentation for HAZOP, SIL, LOPA etc. safety studies like C&E chart, Interlock diagrams, Alarm List, Logic description etc. Participating in workshops.
- Implementing HAZOP/SIL recommendations in project engineering documentation.
- Creation of Standard product documentation (like P&IDs, Control System architecture)
- Working at Sites across Pan India to support execution team as design representative for supervising Pre-commissioning field tests, witnessing energization, creating necessary test protocols. 20% Travel is expected for this role.
- Communications, meetings, coordination with multidisciplinary engineering team, professional consultants, vendors, licensors, suppliers, contractors.

a) Critical Competencies and Essential Attributes
- Detailed engineering of Products/Equipment/Systems/EPC Projects in industrial/ process plant /energy/ power generation/ oil and gas industry.
- Ability to create deliverables from scratch.
- Proactiveness and agility to work in start-up industry.
- Working experience in Product/System development environment.
- Hands on with Logic development for Process and Safety Control System.
- Accustomed to work on fast track projects with high time commitments.
- Ability to deliver on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Good knowledge of Codes and Standards and their implementation in day to day deliverables.
- High level of proficiency in MS office tools like MS Office, MS Excel, and AutoCAD.

Following skills are preferred but not mandatory:
- DCS or PLC Programming, any make.
