Lead Electrical Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Prepare and review Electrical Load Lists, design protection schemes, single line diagrams, and substation layouts,

Develop plant area layouts

Conduct lighting illumination calculations using AG32 and Luxicon, providing guidance on lighting schemes and controls

Estimating materials for power, lighting and earthing systems, prepare material take-off documents

Guide designers in 3D modelling and 2D drafting

Ensure design deliverables comply with applicable codes and standards

Conduct thorough checking of all electrical documents and drawings before release

Review vendor documents and provide input as necessary

Preferred candidate profile

Expertise in designing electrical systems - power distribution, lighting, control systems and equipment specifications while adhering to industry standards and codes

Ability to conduct risk assessments, implement safety measures, ensure compliance with electrical standards and regulations

Dignosing and resolving electrical issues, Root cause analysis and implement corrective actions

familiarity with QHSE
