Lead Data Science

As a Data Scientist at Agoda, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging machine learning and big data platforms processing 600B events daily and making 5B predictions. You will be part of the Data Science and Machine Learning team, where you will tackle real-world challenges such as dynamic pricing, customer intent prediction, search result ranking, content classification, personalized recommendations, and more. You will work with a large ML infrastructure with GPUs, CPU cores, and memory to innovate the user experience. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, code, experiment, and implement models and algorithms to enhance customer experience and business outcomes - Mine big data to discover actionable insights for driving improvements and innovation - Collaborate with developers and business owners to deliver daily results with high quality - Research and explore new ideas that can make a difference **Qualifications Required:** - 4+ years of hands-on data science experience - Strong understanding of AI/ML/DL and Statistics, with coding proficiency in Python, PySpark, Scala, and related open source libraries - Proficiency in SQL and other languages - Ability to work independently and in a team, with good communication skills for a multicultural environment **Preferred Qualifications:** - PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, or related fields - Experience in NLP, image processing, recommendation systems - Hands-on experience in data engineering with big data frameworks like Spark/Hadoop - Experience in data science for e-commerce or OTA Agoda welcomes both local and international applications for this role, offering full visa sponsorship and relocation assistance for eligible candidates. *Equal Opportunity Employer* Your application will be kept on file for future vacancies, with the option to request removal of your details.
